Brit & Tony’s Vintage-Chic Garden Wedding
When I first met Brittany and Tony, I knew I was in for one hell of a ride, in the absolute best way. These two were a whirlwind of laughter and love that was infectious from the beginning.
Their two-part engagement shoot was a mix of urban chic and speakeasy vibes, with locations ranging from the Omaha courthouse to the historic Old Market. Brit and Tony's ability to make each other laugh, model-level posing, and confidence in their vision, made capturing their love story a photographer’s dream…
I was on cloud nine delivering their photos because I already knew they were some of my favorites of all time. Little did I know just how much better it would continue to be!
When Brit told me she had a secret plan up her sleeve, I knew I wall all in. Months before the wedding we secretly arranged for me to take boudoir photos of Brittany. When the wedding day came, she set her plan in motion, giving each of her bridesmaids three poloaroids and trusting them to find times throughout the day to pass the photos to Tony.
To say Tony was surprise was an understatement… and it was one of the most priceless experiences of my time as a wedding photographer wathing Tony blush as the girls passed him the photos and him scurrying from the room to add them to his wallet. (at one point he literally fell to the floor and kept saying he couldn’t believe he was so lucky to be married to such a beautiful woman like Brittany!)
The wedding dat itself was a stunningingly gorgeous from the moment I arrived and I couldn’t stop smiling... Brit looked stunning in her fitted gown and opera gloves, and their first look in the courtyard was a moment of pure joy.
Brit and Tony didn’t let the threat of rain hold them back and the weather held throughout their beautiful garden ceremony in Lucile’s Old Market courtyard. every detail, from the hand-painted table illustrations to the adorable ring-bearing fur baby, Onyx, made the day extra special. One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was when Brit and Tony planted a tree together, symbolizing their commitment to their future.
The reception was a lively party filled with laughter, tears, and a whole lot of dancing. The heartfelt speeches of their families and friends brought me to tears. And when the dance floor opened, the energy was electric! (The couple even traded in their formal footwear for wedding-themed Crocs!)
Working with couples like Brit and Tony is truly a dream come true. Their love, laughter, and genuine connection make each moment unforgettable. I feel honored to have been a part of their journey and to call them friends.
