Molly & Lewis: From High School Sweethearts to Tying the Knot!
High school sweethearts are the epitome of love stories, and Molly and Lewis are the perfect example. From the moment we met for their winter engagement session, I could see the incredible bond of friendship that ran underneath and throughout their love story over the years. I’ve never seen a couple have so much fun together even in the cold! I knew their wedding day would be filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments.
As the wedding day got closer, we decided to meet up again to do some more engagement photos this summer. It was the perfect way to make some more memories of the final days leading up to their wedding day. I loved getting the chance to get all their life updates and it made me even more excited for their wedding day to arrive! :)
The morning of their wedding was pure magic. Surrounded by her closest family and friends, Molly was a vision in her stunning gown with delicate pearl accents and Lewis looked incredibly dapper in his striking green suit.
Their first look and ceremony took place at the Holland Performing Arts Center. Molly and Lewis’s special request for their first moments together was to do a private vow reading. We were able to find an intimate space for them to share their private words of love as we gave them some time to take in their first looks of each other on their wedding day.
The venue's architectural beauty perfectly complemented their love for design. As we explored the building for photos and the ceremony got closer, Molly and Lewis couldn't contain their happiness. They were both beaming by the time they walked down the aisle. :)
After the wedding, the couple and their wedding party took a ride on Ollie the Trolly and we even managed to squeeze in a quick trip back to Central High School, where their love story began, for some truly special shots. Their trolly driver was so sweet and offered a private ride of the couple around downtown before they joined their cocktail hour at the Leo Ballroom.
The cocktail hour and reception were off to a swinging start when Molly and Lewis arrived. Guests were using a vintage typewriter to leave personal notes for Molly and Lewis and their guests were socializing in main ballroom, awaiting their grand entrance.
Molly and Lewis’s families and friends delivered touching and laugh-worthy speeches… when a couple has been together since high school, you have a lot of stories to tell! Their family and friends were tearing up the dance floor all night. There was even some breakdancing!
As the night drew to a close, I felt incredibly honored to have been a part of Molly and Lewis's special day. Their kind words and genuine excitement about their photos filled my heart with joy. It's couples like them who make this job truly rewarding.
I am so honored to share some of my favorite images from their beautiful day! I hope they show even a glimpse of the true joy that Molly and Lewis brought to their lives and to my time with them on their wedding day.
Molly and Lewis, I hope you know how much I loved working with you and I can’t wait to see what the future has to hold for you!
Congratulations!!
