Even though we’ve made so much progress in bringing not just acceptance but celebration of queer couples to the wedding industry, we still have so much work to do.
As a queer person myself, it’s deeply important to me that my business represents my values and celebrates love in all its beautiful forms. Before you choose me, I’d love to share with you what I stand for as an LGBTQ+ wedding photographer.

Human Rights Are Not Up For Debate.
Maybe the wedding industry used to be a space where people could afford to avoid politics. But when this administration is implementing policies that strip away rights, endanger lives, and perpetuate oppressive systems, we can’t stay silent.
I like to be as clear as possible about what I believe so there’s no ambiguity about where I stand. I will not make space for bigotry, racism, homophobia, transphobia, or discrimination of any kind-not even the “polite” versions people try to dress up as “differing opinions.”
If you believe some people deserve fewer rights, less dignity, or should have to hide who they are to make others comfortable, I don’t want you in my community. The only people I don’t want to photograph are those who hold hate in their hearts.
I know my couples are scared and uncertain for the future, but they’re also choosing joy. They’re choosing to affirm and celebrate their loe. And they deserve for their wedding to be a safe space where they are not just tolerated but celebrated.
No matter what, I will continue to use my platform and my privilege to advocate for equity and to amplify marginalized voices.

Every Person Deserves Dignity, Safety, And Freedom—No Exceptions, No Asterisks.
There is way too much protecting power instead of protecting people, and too many “keeping the peace” instead of standing tall and proud in their convictions.
I hope my stance is always clear. I believe: Immigrants strengthen our communities. Black lives matter. Trans lives are sacred. Reproductive rights are human rights. Love is love, and every love story deserves to be celebrated and protected.
If you think some people are less deserving of humanity than others-we fundamentally disagree on what it means to be human. And that’s not something I can compromise on.
But if you’re LGBTO+, a person of color, an immigrant, neurodivergent, disabled, or part of any marginalized community-you are safe here. You are welcome here. You are celebrated here, exactly as you are.
If you believe in equity, justice, and that every human deserves to exist fully and freely, I hope you feel not only welcome, but invited.

All Love Stories Are Beautiful and Deserve to Be Showcased.
As an LGBTQ+ wedding photographer, I photograph love stories for everyone, without exception. Queer, interracial, interfaith, couples from every background and identity imaginable. Seriously, I’m so honored every time I hear from couples! And I want you to know that I am a wholehearted supporter of your love story, no matter what your love looks like.
Unfortunately, queer couples too often end up feeling like they don’t get to be included. Even though it seems like there would be tons of representation, we still have such a long way to go in the wedding industry. Sadly, so many vendors only post about straight couples, or don’t make an effort to represent diverse people.
Queer love stories shouldn’t be hidden because they aren’t straight couples. Queer love stories shouldn’t be made invisible because they don’t fit the ‘traditional’ mold. Just like anyone else, they deserve for their love stories to be upheld and celebrated.
When I work with any couple, I’m proud of the work I created. I want to shout from the rooftops about their love. Especially for LGBTQ+ couples, there still aren’t enough spaces uplifting and celebrating them. (BTW, I’m still so obsessed with Sydney and Hannah’s wedding featured in Equally Wed!)
When you entrust me with your wedding photography, I document your love story with detail and care while ensuring you feel welcome to be yourself surrounded by the people who love you most.

As a Wedding Photographer, It’s My Job To Celebrate Love, Not Tear It Down.
The wedding industry exists to celebrate love but unfortunately we forget that sometimes. It’s easy to get lost in the beautiful table settings, perfect flower arrangements, and beautiful venues instead of remembering what it is we’re all here to celebrate: LOVE. And not just some love. ALL love for ALL couples.
Weddings are about celebrating and affirming that love is love. I believe queer love is beautiful, that couples of all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and religions deserve to have their stories honored and told. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I do not tolerate hate in any form. I don’t think you should tolerate hate from anyone, let alone people in the wedding industry who are supposed to be creating a safe space for love.

I’m Committed To Being a Queer-Affirming Wedding Vendor
As an industry, we can’t create safe spaces for marginalized communities while tolerating vendors who don’t see their clients’ full humanity. We need wholehearted, enthusiastic support of queer couples, not more people whose support is performative or nonexistent.
Something I’m passionate about is building relationships with other wedding professionals who I know will uplift the wedding industry. I’m actively building a community of people I love working with who I can trust to take excellent care of my couples. Which BTW, if you need advice for finding a queer-affirming wedding vendor, check out my advice for finding people you can trust.

We Need More Queer Joy in the Wedding Industry
As a member of both the LGBTQIA+ and disabled community, queer joy is what I am loudly and proudly about!
Queer love is beautiful. Love is love, and every love story deserves to be celebrated. You are not only welcome here but celebrated here, exactly as you are.
As you’re looking for your wedding photographer, planner, florist, DJ, or any other vendors who will be part of your day, I hope you feel EXCITED and totally lit up for your celebration. I hope you know that there is a wedding vendor out there who is so excited to serve and support you.
If you’re searching for an LGBTQ+ wedding photographer for your celebration, I would be honored to be considered. Whether you’re getting married in Omaha or another destination, check out my weddings page to see what it’s like to work with me.
