Brittany and Tony: A Downtown Omaha Engagement Story

From the very beginning, Brittany and Tony knew exactly the vibe they wanted for their engagement photos: think classic, timeless, and a touch of vintage with lots of black and white imagery. I could see the vision immediately and was excited to find the perfect location.

Brittany’s inspiration images perfectly mixed grand architecture and glamour. Picture heart sunglasses, popping champagne, and toasting to love with craft cocktails… We were determined to find locations that aesthetic, which ultimately led us to decide the best way to achieve their vision was to split their engagement photos into two sessions.

Memoir's Magic

Our journey began at Memoir, a new restaurant in downtown Omaha, outside the Old Market. Stepping inside felt like stepping back in time, with its sophisticated ambiance and Art Deco details. It was the perfect backdrop.

I knew the session was off to a great start the moment Britt and Tony walked in. From Brittany’s delicately textured dress to Tony’s tailored suit, they had the chic vibes locked in. We ordered some drinks and had the best time moving around Memoir from the bar to the velvet booths and intimate hallways. The textures and styles of the restaurant played beautifully with the light, creating stunning visuals that would translate flawlessly into black and white.

Golden Hour Glow

For the second half of the session, we met up one week later to chase the magic of the setting sun. The Omaha courthouse, with its grand architecture, provided the perfect setting. Brittany and Tony stepped out in style once again, using this second session to bring out a more editorial sense of style with bold patterns that we knew would be stunning in both golden tones of sunset and black and white. It was time to pop bottles, dance, and pose. The light bathing the courthouse steps truly brought an almost cinematic look to their images.

A Story Unfolding

This two-part engagement session was more than just capturing beautiful images. It was an opportunity to build a connection with Brittany and Tony, to understand their unique personalities, and to witness the magic of their love story firsthand. It was a sneak peek into the emotions and joy that will undoubtedly fill their wedding day at Lucile's in the Old Market this September.

Brittany and Tony, thank you for trusting me to capture this special chapter in your love story. I can't wait to celebrate with you both and create even more beautiful memories on your wedding day!
